Darnell Brodie is originally from Newark, New Jersey with a major basketball background. Starting with baseball in 6th,7th, and 8th grade then after a huge growths spirt ending up being as tall as 6,10, he transferred to playing basketball at 17 years old. Brodie received his high school education at East Side high school, then attended college at Seton Hall after two years he transferred to Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Darnell had a great impact on his team leading them to Arch Madness in 2021.

Played his high school basketball at Newark East Side and Putnam Science Academy before prepping a year at Montverde Academy in Fl., under head coach Kevin Boyle…member of the Newark East Side squad that was runner-up in the 2014 New Jersey Tournament of Champions that was ultimately won by St. Joseph’s and NBA All-Star Karl Anthony Towns…participated in the 2018 Sinis/Ciccone Memorial Tournament as a member of the Northeast Basketball Club and was named to the All-Tournament team in a title-game victory over the New York Blaze…played his AAU ball with the New England Players and the New Jersey Roadrunners.
